Offer accepted for 6 ft player – Man Utd close to sealing signing

Manchester United have been linked with Portuguese international and Porto defender Diogo Dalot for quite some time and the latest reports seem very positive for the Old Trafford club.

As per a report covered by Manchester Evening News earlier today, the Red Devils have had an offer accepted for the 19-year-old fullback and they are now close to sealing his signing from the Primeira Liga side.

The Manchester based outlet have gathered the information from sources close to the player and it is mentioned that the exact price of the deal is not known as yet but it is understood to be a little bit more than the €20million release clause in Dalot’s current deal, which is due to expire in 2019.

Dalot is a versatile talent, who can be deployed on either side of the defense and the midfield. In the last campaign, he excelled in multiple positions while playing for Porto’s B side and the first team.

Overall, in all competitions, the teenage sensation featured in 33 games, scored 4 goals and provided 8 assists. Naturally, the 6 ft starlet is a right back, but in 8 appearances for the first team last season, he mainly played as a left back and provided 3 assists.

Will he be a regular starter in first team of Manchester United under Mourinho? Only time will tell.
