Proposal made – Man Utd move would fulfill €400m playmaker’s dream

Manchester United need to splash the cash and strengthen their squad in the summer transfer window if they are to beat Manchester City and win the Premier League title next season.

The Red Devils have spent a lot under the management of Jose Mourinho but the squad still needs more quality and depth.

As far as the attacking department is concerned, United signed Lukaku in the last summer’s transfer window and lured Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in the winter transfer window. If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Old Trafford club are linked with numerous quality attackers.

According to Don Balon, French international and Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele is on United’s radar. The Spanish source have stated that the former Dortmund playmaker has rejected multiple offers already but he has not rejected the proposal made by Manchester United as yet.

Don Balon have further mentioned that the 20-year-old attacker has always wanted to play at Old Trafford and therefore, he would fulfill his dream by moving to Man United.

Dembele signed for the Catalan giants last year but due to a thigh injury, he spent months on the sidelines and so far, he has only started 11 games in all competitions for Barca this season. Even after returning to full fitness, he has managed to play full 90 minutes on just one occasion in the league.

Capable of playing anywhere in the attacking third, Dembele will largely improve the quality of Mourinho’s squad. Moreover, at Old Trafford, he could get the chance to earn a lot and start week in week out as well.

As per The Times, the Portuguese boss is planning to sell Anthony Martial in the summer transfer window. Dembele, who has a release clause of €400m in his contract (Sport), would surely be an upgrade if United can get his signing done.
