Man Utd closing in to sign €45.4million midfielder

Manchester United finished the PL season in second place and have the opportunity to end the campaign with a trophy by beating Chelsea in the FA Cup final next weekend.

In such a situation, The Daily Star have reported Manchester United are closing in on agreeing a deal to sign €45.4million rated Brazilian international and Shakhtar star Fred to reinforce their midfield.

The British source have stated that United are favorites to secure his signing and after advanced talks, he is likely to make a £40million (€45.4million) switch to Old Trafford

The 25-year-old South American player is renowned for his energetic displays in the center of the park. He can effectively be deployed in the central midfield and also in the defensive midfield if needed.

This season, in 37 games in all competitions, Fred has scored 4 goals and provided 7 assists for the Ukrainian champions.
