The 20-year-old starlet is a versatile talent, who naturally plays in the center forward position but can effectively operate on the flanks and as a secondary striker as well.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then Liverpool will move to agree a new deal with Awoniyi, who signed for the club in 2015 and has spent three seasons on loan.
According to Goal.com, Liverpool will hand him a new contract and send him out on loan yet again. Last season, he played for Belgian side Mouscron and now the likes of Anderlecht and Club Brugge are leading the race to lure him this summer.
Back in 2013, Awoniyi was part of the Nigerian team that won the U-17 World Cup. So far, in 6 appearances for the U-23 national side, he has scored 2 goals.
Liverpool lack quality depth in their strike-force and Awoniyi could be a decent cover for Firmino. In the last campaign, the African starlet started 27 games in all competitions for Mouscron, scored 10 goals and provided 7 assists.
