Liverpool willing to accept major deal by signing £87.8million playmaker

Liverpool sold Brazilian international Coutinho in the winter transfer window and tried to replace him with Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio.

Renowned Spanish source, AS, covered a report last month and stated that after the departure of Coutinho, Klopp made an offer worth 150 million euros to replace him with Asensio but the Los Blancos rejected the move.

Now, if reports in the Spanish media are anything to go by then the European Champions could offer the Spaniard to Liverpool in order to sign Mohamed Salah.

According to Diario Gol, the Merseysiders want 200 million euros to sell their Egyptian superstar. On the other hand, in order to accept a major exchange deal, Liverpool only want Asensio + 100 million euros in cash for the former Giallorossi playmaker.

The Spanish outlet have stated that the Premier League club value the 22-year-old La Roja star at 100 million euros (£87.8million).

The former Mallorca player has got bags of talent but he has not been a regular starter at the Bernabeu and therefore, he must leave the club. Last season, he could only start 19 times in the league, scored 6 goals and provided 5 assists.

Like Coutinho, Asensio can play in multiple midfield and attacking positions and he has the attributes to replace the Samba star at Anfield. However, the Spaniard cannot replace a speedy winger like Mohamed Salah and in my opinion, the Reds must hold on to him no matter what happens.
