Liverpool have positioned themselves to sign £35million winger

Liverpool are linked with more than a few quality attackers as they look to improve the quality and depth of their offense in the summer transfer window.

As per recent reports going on in the French media, the Reds are interested in Brazilian international and Bordeaux playmaker Malcolm.

According to renowned French source L’Equipe, Liverpool have recently positioned themselves to sign the 21-year-old winger, who could depart this summer and the Ligue 1 side are looking to get at least 40 million euros (£35million) from his sale.

L’Equipe have not gone on to explain the approach of the Merseysiders in their pursuit to sign the South American starlet. Instead, the report says that the things are silent for now.

This might mean that the Anfield club are keeping an eye on him and could move if they fail to lure any of their key attacking targets.

Malcolm had a memorable season with the French side. He featured in 38 games in all competitions and directly contributed in 20 goals (12 goals and 8 assists).

Naturally, he likes to play on the right wing, a position which is currently occupied by Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah at Anfield. Back in December 2017, Manchester United were heavily linked with Malcolm (The Mail).
