Liverpool sold star playmaker Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in the winter transfer window and as yet, the Reds have not replaced the little Brazilian.
The Merseysiders are constantly linked with the French attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir, who has what it takes to replace the former Inter Milan star at Anfield.
According to The Independent, Liverpool are locked in negotiations with Lyon over the transfer of the 24-year-old Les Bleus playmaker. It is mentioned that the Ligue 1 side are demanding a fee worth €70million for Fekir, however, the PL club value him around €57million.

The UK based outlet have mentioned that Lyon – who have qualified for the next season’s Champions League – are playing hard ball but the British side are still expected to secure the transfer of Fekir before he travels to Russia for the World Cup, which will kick off in just 9 days.
Fekir is naturally a central attacking midfielder, who has also proved to be effective on the right flank and as a center forward as well.
Last season, he mainly played in the AM position and in 28 league starts for Lyon, he directly contributed in 25 goals (18 goals and 7 assists).
If he does end up moving to Anfield, we can expect Klopp to start him (attacking midfielder) with the likes of Keita (central midfielder) and Fabinho (defensive midfielder) in the center of the park.
