Liverpool can sign €60million star for just €30-€35million

Liverpool have been linked with more than a few quality goal keepers and Barcelona star Jasper Cillessen is one of them.

Few days back, Mundo Deportivo came up with a report and claimed that Jurgen Klopp is urgently looking to sign a new shot stopper and Cillessen could be an option.

The Spanish source stated that the La Liga champions do not want to sell their second choice goalie, however, he can obviously be lured if a club activates the release clause in his contract, which is worth €60million.

Now, as per the latest update provided today by another renowned Spanish source in the form of Marca, the Catalan giants are looking for a substitute goalie to replace the Dutch star at the Nou Camp.

Marca have claimed that Liverpool and other PL clubs are interested and in reality, Barca would look to accept an offer of around €30-€35million for the 29-year-old goal keeper, who was only bought for €13million.

Cillessen is a top quality goalie and a fee worth €35million is not really a huge one for a club like Liverpool, who paid 75 million pounds (The Guardian) to sign Virgil van Dijk from Southampton in the winter transfer window.

Last season, the former Ajax goalie was only a regular starter in the Copa Del Rey. He started all the 9 games in the competition, kept 7 clean sheets and conceded only 2 goals as Barca lifted the trophy.
