Liverpool are in desperate need of a new goal keeper and they have been linked with a top quality star in the form of Dutch international Jasper Cillessen, who currently plays for the La Liga champions Barcelona.
Few days back, Spanish source Mundo Deportivo covered a report and claimed that the Reds have made contact to inquire about signing the former Eredivisie shot stopper, who has a release clause of €60million in his contract. As per the report, Barca wanted a fee close to his release clause.
Now, as per the latest update provided by another top Spanish source in the form of Sport, the 29-year-old shot stopper wants to leave Barca, who would now be willing to let him leave for just €30million.

Apart from Copa Del Rey, Cillessen only started two games in all competitions for the Catalan giants in the last campaign.
It is highly unlikely that his playing time will increase next season in the presence of German international Ter Stegen, who is Valcerde’s first choice goalie. Therefore, the ex Ajax star surely needs to leave the Nou Camp to start week in week out.
At Anfield, Klopp is looking for a new goalie, in this case, Cillessen would be quality addition and a fee of €30million is not really a big one in today’s market.
