Manchester United are looking to strengthen their central defense this summer and once again, they are linked with French international Clement Lenglet.
According to L’Equipe, the Red Devils are in a battle with La Liga champions Barcelona to sign the star defender from Sevilla.
The 22-year-old Les Bleus center half had a brilliant season for Sevilla and he was very impressive against Manchester United in the Champions League. L’Equipe have pointed out how Lenglet effectively contained Man United’s star striker Romelu Lukaku.

The French source claim that if Manchester United or Barca offer a fee worth €35million, which is the release clause in Lenglet’s contract, the player will leave Sevilla this summer.
The above mentioned price tag is very cheap in today’s market and Jose Mourinho really should not have any problems paying that sum.
It must be remembered that United paid 30 million pounds to sign Ivorian center half Bailly from Villareal in 2016 (BBC) and they paid 31 million pounds to lure Swedish defender Lindelof from Benfica last year (BBC).
Lenglet, whose contract with Sevilla will expire in 2021, played 54 games in all competitions in the last campaign, scored 4 goals and provided 1 assist.
