How Manchester United May Line up Against Sunderland – Score Prediction

Manchester somehow earned a point against Everton and are once again in 6th place in the Barclays Premier League.

With only 9 league games remaining, the Red Devils are level on points with Arsenal and six points behind arch rivals Liverpool, who have played two more games than United.

Mourinho’s men still have to face the likes of Tottenham, Chelsea and neighbors Manchester City. Can they finish in the top four?

Next up, the Old Trafford club will face the Black Cats away from home. Sunderland are currently at the bottom of the table and have only earned a single point from their last six league games.

Jose opted to rest majority of his first team players for the game against Everton on Tuesday night and the decision backfired. The ex Chelsea manager must start his strongest possible team against Sunderland because he cannot really afford another set back.

Spanish goalie David De Gea will likely retain his starting place behind the back four. Ashley Young is out injured with a knock and the England international may get replaced by Ecuadorian star Antonio Valencia. The South American wingback was rested for the midweek clash against the Toffees.

With Jones and Smalling still out injured, Bailly and Rojo will likely start in the central defense again. Daley Blind may play in the left back position.

Ander Herrera played in the No.10 role vs Everton and the Spaniard may move back into the midfield to partner record signing Paul Pogba.

Jesse Lingard may retain his place in the starting XI on the right hand side of the attack. French international Anthony Martial should return to start on the left wing. Lastly, Armenian attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan will likely start behind main man Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

United are lacking confidence at the moment but they should be able to bounce back and earn all three points against the weakest team in the league this season.
