Liverpool suffered a painful defeat at the hands of Real Madrid in the Champions League final. The Reds need to come back stronger next season and they have already taken steps to improve the squad.
Yesterday, the Merseysiders officially agreed the signing of Brazilian international Fabinho for a fee worth £45million (Mirror Sport). The question is, how will Klopp utilize the South American midfielder in his starting XI.
Earlier this month, we covered a post stating that Liverpool must sign a proven quality defensive midfielder this summer. That objective will be completed once Fabinho seals his move on July 1. We can expect him to replace Henderson and start in the DM role for Liverpool next season.

Guinean midfielder, Naby Keita, is also set to seal his move to Anfield on July 1 and the talented African star should get straight into the starting XI.
This leaves only one midfield position in Klopp’s 4-3-3 formation and it will be intriguing to see who will be occupying that spot. Can (end of contract next month) might depart but the Reds do have midfielders like Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Grujic, whose loan spell with Cardiff will expire soon.
Liverpool still have to replace Coutinho and they are interested in signing Fekir (L’Equipe), who likes to play in an advanced midfield role. If the French star ends up moving to Anfield then we can expect him to partner Keita and Fabinho in the center of the park.
Here is how Liverpool will line up with Fabinho.
