How Liverpool May Line up Against Everton – Score Prediction

The international break is finally over and the Premier League will return this weekend with a cracking opening game between Liverpool and Everton.

Jurgen Klopp’s men won the Merseyside Derby earlier in the season when Sadio Mane scored the winner in the 94th minute of the game at Goodison Park. At Anfield, the Reds have been brilliant in the current campaign and they should be considered favorites to do the double over the Toffees.

Liverpool’s midfield star Adam Lallana suffered a thigh injury while playing for England and he will not be available for the contest against Ronald Koeman’s men. This is the second time this season that the former Southampton star has come back injured from international duty.

Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson have not recovered from their respective injuries as yet but there are chances that they may feature on Saturday as per PhysioRoom. Klopp should not select them in his starting XI straightaway, even if they are fit.

In the absence of Lallana and Henderson, Lucas Leiva will probably return to the starting lineup, this time as a defensive midfielder and not as a center half. The Brazilian player should start with Emre Can and Georginio Wijnaldum in the midfield.

Croatian central defender Dejan Lovren is also expected to return to the starting team. He will most likely replace Estonian international Ragnar Klavan to partner Joel Matip in the central defense. Milner and Clyne should retain their places in the full back positions. Simon Mignolet is expected to start in goal again ahead of Loris Karius.

Brazilian duo of Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho were brought back from international duty via a private jet. The Samba stars and Sadio Mane have been fantastic for the Reds this season and the trio should start again in the attack.

This Senegalese international  is currently Liverpool’s top-scorer this season and has scored goals in big games vs Everton, Tottenham and Arsenal (twice). He would be the key man to watch for the Anfield club.

Prediction – Liverpool 3-0 Everton
