Tottenham Hotspur managed to earn Champions League qualification by finishing third in the Barclays Premier League but once again, Pochettino’s men failed to win a trophy.

The north Londoners need to sign quality players in the summer transfer window to challenge the best of teams in the continent and as per the information gathered by Calcio Insider, Spurs are ready to sign Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund.

According to sources close to the American international, numerous PL clubs are interested in signing the Bundesliga attacker and Spurs are in fact ready to meet Dortmund’s asking price of the player.

We could not attain any information from the source about how much BvB rate Pulisic but as per a report recently covered in the British media (Mirror Sport), the teenage attacking starlet is valued at 40 million pounds (€45.6million).

As far as Pochettino’s’s attacking midfield is concerned, the likes of Alli and Eriksen are top quality and Son has proved to be effective as well. However, the Argentine manager does not have quality depth in the department.

French international Moussa Sissoko has only managed to score one league goal in the two PL campaigns with Spurs. On the other hand, an injury prone Lamela managed to score 2 goals (scored in the final game of the season) in 25 PL outings. The Argentine attacker could only play 9 times in the 2016-17 league campaign.

Pulisic is widely regarded as one of the best young attackers in the world. The pacy American is naturally a winger but he can play through the center as well. In the recently concluded Bundesliga campaign, the 19-year-old starlet started 27 times and directly contributed in 10 goals (4 goals and 6 assists).

  1. Spurs like to buy young, make them stars and then sell for a huge fee. Pulisic is classy but he will not win anything with Tottenham

    1. Based on what!!!

We’ve bought young I agree but the sales part i don’t understand! The only player we’ve sold that we didn’t want to sell was Bale, 5yrs ago and we’ve grown year after year since then!

The new stadium, which has cost close to £900m as you can imagine has taken a huge sent out of what the club has been able to spend on transfers, but because Levy and the club have managed the finances well there is money to spend on new players to improve the squad.

We have a great 1st team, which could be improved like any teams could! Yet the bench has never been the best and with the right signing that improve the squad depth we could be real contenders for years to come and that scares other clubs fans!!! They know how much Spurs have grown over the last few years under Poch and how much the club has grown off the field too, meaning money is no longer being spend elsewhere and can go to making us Title winners
