Liverpool have got top quality stars like Mane, Salah and Firmino in their attack but Klopp seriously lacks depth in his offense.
In such a scenario, the the German boss needs to improve the depth of the squad and the Reds have been interested in signing Julian Brandt.
Back in May, Calcio Insider (via a source close to Bayer Leverkusen) covered an exclusive report claiming that Liverpool are prepared to hire the services of the €60million rated German international with whom Bayer Leverkusen signed a new contract (in April) only to get rid of his very low release clause.

As per the latest update, the Leverkusen source has told that Liverpool will now move to sign the versatile playmaker soon to strengthen the attack. The source has also stated that the Reds followed his World Cup displays.
Joachim Low opted to select Brandt over Man City star Leroy Sane for the World Cup and although the Leverkusen star only played for 20 minutes in 3 appearances, he was one of brightest attackers for the four time champions.
The 22-year-old playmaker was introduced late in the opening game against Mexico (played 5 minutes) and came closest to scoring for his team with a brilliant right foot volley that brushed past the post.
He only featured for 3 minutes against Sweden and was once again unlucky not to find the net as his fantastic left foot half volley hit the post. He played for 12 minutes vs Korea and struck 2 shots on target.
Last season, Brandt featured in 34 league games for the Bundesliga side, scored 9 goals and provided 5 assists. His ability to maneuver in spaces with both feet and the versatility to play in multiple attacking positions should make him a top signing for the Reds if they can lure him.
