Emery prepared to secure signing of €40million playmaker for Arsenal

Arsenal have recently appointed new boss, Unai Emery, in charge of the club and now, the Spanish coach must focus on strengthening the team for next season.

As far as the transfer news is concerned, the north Londoners are linked with Swedish international and RB Leipzig playmaker Emil Forsberg.

According to an exclusive report covered by Calcio Mercato, the new Arsenal manager has given the approval to the club to sign the 26-year-old attacker in the summer transfer window.

The Italian source have claimed that the Gunners have been interested in Forsberg for some time but they put the deal on hold in order to find the new boss first. Now, Calcio Mercato state that Arsenal are ready to return to charge to sign the versatile star and that has worried Juventus.

The Bundesliga attacker mainly plays on the left flank, but he can effectively play in multiple offensive position. In the 2016-17 campaign, the former Malma winger was in terrific form for Leipzig and managed to directly contribute in 30 goals (8 goals and 22 assists) in as many league games.

However, in the recently concluded league campaign, Forsberg could only score 2 goals and provided 2 assists in 21 outings.
