Arsenal seem serious about signing Portuguese international and Sporting CP winger Gerlson Martins in the summer transfer window.
According to the latest update provided by A Bola (print media at the bottom of the article), the Gunners made an initial offer worth €30million, but Sporting rejected it.
However, surprisingly, the north Londoners have tried to push for a deal with another offer of €30million and not so surprisingly, it has been rejected again (A Bola) by the Primeira Liga club.

The Portuguese source have claimed that the 23-year-old playmaker is very much willing to agree a move to Arsenal but Sporting CP are reluctant to sell their prized asset, whose contract will expire in 2021 and has a mammoth release clause of €60million.
Martins is a speedy attacker, who can play on either flank and also as a secondary striker if needed. Last season, in 52 appearances (all competitions), he scored 13 goals and provided 13 assists.
The Seleccao attacker made his senior international debut back in 2016 and so far, he has played 18 games for Portugal and is yet to score. Can he get off the mark for the national side in Russia (World Cup)? We shall see.
