Jurgen Klopp is in search of a new goal keeper and the latest reports suggest that the Reds are interested in signing German international and Bayer Leverkusen star Bernd Leno.
According to Bild, Liverpool want the 26-year-old goalie and to agree his signing, the Merseysiders would have to put an offer worth €25million on the table.
The German outlet have mentioned that Leverkusen have already secured Leno’s replacement by capturing Lukas Hradecky, who will join the club on a free transfer after expiration of his current contract with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Leno is an experienced shot stopper, who has already played over 300 games in the Bundesliga. He was part of the German national squad that won the Confederations Cup last year. He was also named in Germany’s provisional World Cup squad but could not make it into the final 23.
Last season, the Kaiser featured in 38 games in all competitions, conceded 49 goals and only kept 12 clean sheets.
On the other hand, Leno’s compatriot, Loris Karius, made 33 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool in the last campaign, conceded 31 goals and kept 16 clean sheets.
Klopp needs to sort out the goalkeeping dilemma at Anfield permanently and he cannot afford to lure another inconsistent goalie. In all fairness, Leno is not good enough to become Liverpool’s No.1 and the former Borussia Dortmund boss must look at other quality options.
