Chelsea have appointed new boss Maurizio Sarri after sacking Antonio Conte from the club. The former Napoli boss has signed a three year contract (The Mail) with the Blues.
Antonio Conte led Chelsea to a stunning Premier League triumph in the 2016-17 campaign in which the Blues won 30 games.
However, last season, the Stamford Bridge club were highly inconsistent, they failed to finish in the top four and therefore, they will not be taking part in the UEFA Champions League next season.

The ex Azzurri manager did manage to win the FA Cup title in the last campaign but unfortunately, that victory was not enough to secure his job and Sarri has replaced him.
The 59-year-old boss, who has agreed a three year deal worth €19million (The Mail), managed Napoli for three years and under his guidance, the team finished runners up last season and in 2015-16.
A second place finish might not be good enough at the Bridge. Carlo Ancelotti’s Chelsea team won the title in 2009-10 but finished runners up in 2010-11 and he was shown the exit door at the end of the campaign.
Owner Roman Abramovich is known for sacking big name managers and he is very impatient. It will be intriguing to see how Sarri can solve the problems at Chelsea.
