€500million midfielder wants to secure Liverpool move

Liverpool were rampant last weekend against Watford. They defeated the Hornets 5-0 at Anfield to strengthen their position in the top four.

The Reds did lose their star playmaker Coutinho in the winter transfer window but the departure of the Brazilian star has not hurt the club, who have continued to score for fun this season.

Still, Jurgen Klopp needs to replace Coutinho in the summer transfer window with a quality star. In recent transfer reports, the Merseysiders are linked with Spanish international and Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.

At the Bernabeu, Zidane has preferred the likes of Modric, Kroos and Casemiro in his midfield. In such a situation, midfielders like Kovacic and Ceballos have mainly warmed the bench.

As far as Ceballos is concerned, so far, he has only made 9 league appearances (2 starts) for the reigning European Champions this season. Therefore, the 21-year-old midfielder wants a move away from the club for regular game time.

According to Diario Gol, Ceballos has already told his close friends that he is going to the Premier League and he is already making advanced efforts to secure a move to Liverpool.

The Spanish media outlet have mentioned that Liverpool are one of the top teams, who are pushing to hire the services of Ceballos. It is further stated that the Spaniard could end up moving to Anfield if Florentino Perez agrees to sanction the move as per the player’s request.

Overall, in the current campaign, the former Real Betis midfielder has so far played 19 times for Real Madrid and scored only two goals. His contract with the La Liga giants will expire in 2023 and it has an enormous release clause of worth €500million as per Spanish source Sport.

As far as Liverpool’s midfield department is concerned, they already have players like Milner, Wijnaldum, Can, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lallana and skipper Henderson. Moreover, Guinean midfielder, Naby Keita, will join the Anfield club in the summer.
