Arsenal sealed the signing of Stephan Lichtsteiner on a free move to kick start the transfer activity under the management of new boss Unai Emery.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Gunners are set to secure their second signing of the summer by luring Sokratis from German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.
According to Bild, the Greek international’s move to Arsenal is as good as done. The German source have claimed that the fee is going to be worth €19million and the defender is going to double his wages and get around €5million-a-year (€96,000-a-week).

Bild have further mentioned that the 29-year-old center half only needs to pass the medical to seal his move to the Premier League.
Moreover, Sokratis’ father Charalambos has recently confirmed (Sport 24) that the player is signing for the Gunners.
In the last campaign, the former Werder Bremen star played 30 league games for Dortmund and scored 2 goals. So far, he has made 79 appearances for the senior Greek national side and scored 3 goals.
At Arsenal, he is set to re-unite with his former BvB teammates like Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan, who moved to the Emirates in the winter transfer window.
