Arsenal will finish outside top four for a second season running but they can still book a place in the next season’s Champions League by winning the Europa League this season.
The north Londoners could only draw 1-1 at home in the EL semi final’s first leg against Atletico Madrid. Can they overcome the challenge of the Rojiblancos to qualify for the final? We shall see.
As far as the transfer news is concerned, as per latest reports going on in the media, Arsenal are constantly linked with quality players and one of them is French international Nabil Fekir.
The Lyon playmaker has been linked with the Gunners for a long time. Last year, back in November, The Daily Star exclusively revealed that the attacker is close to agreeing a move to Arsenal. However, he eventually stayed with the Ligue 1 side in the winter transfer window.
Now, The Sun have come up with a report and claimed that Arsenal have stepped up interest to hire the services of the talented Les Bleus playmaker, who is expected to feature for the national side in the FIFA World Cup.
The British source have claimed that even though Wenger will be leaving the club at the end of the season, senior figures at Arsenal are understood to want to capture Fekir, who is rated at 50 million pounds (€57million)
Fekir can play anywhere in the offensive third but naturally, he is a central attacking midfielder. Mesut Ozil has been the owner of the CAM position at Arsenal since joining the club in 2013. Will that change if Fekir joins the Gunners? Only time will tell.
This season, so far, the 24-year-old star has played 37 games for Lyon and directly contributed in 29 goals.

Fekir will fit perfectly & he has a lot more grit than the other Arsenal mid-fielders. His dribbling, passing & finishing would be an add an extra cutting edge with Aubameyang & Lacazette.
That’s exactly what we need, another midfielder. Could we get another striker as well. Maybe we could sell a world class full back and replace him with a cheap defender. Wenger’s policy lives on.
If they want to sign him. Now is the time because after the World cup. He will be priced out of the market.
