Arsenal could move to sign £44.3million playmaker

Arsenal have moved to strengthen key departments in the summer transfer window but they still have to reinforce the attacking department.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then the north Londoners could move to sign a highly rated World Cup star in the form of Croatian international Ante Rebic.

According to renowned German source Sport Bild, the north Londoners have entered the race to hire the services of the playmaker, who currently  plays for Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.

The 24-year-old star is mainly a left winger but in the last campaign, Frankfurt mostly used him in the center forward position. He made 25 appearances in the league, scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists.

As per Sport Bild, the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham and Napoli are also interested in the Croatian star, who should cost around 50 million euros (£44.3million).

Rebic has been impressive at the World Cup 2018. He scored a fantastic volley goal against Argentina in the group stages and has been a constant menace for the defenses in the competition.

As far as Arsenal’s attack is concerned, Wenger opted to sell Alexis Sanchez last summer and lured Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who can effectively play anywhere in the attack.

New boss Emery has also got superstars like Ozil, Lacazette and record signing Aubameyang in his offense. However, they need quality depth to compete for the PL title and therefore, Arsenal should make a move to sign Rebic.
