Manchester United are closing in on completing the first signing of this summer if reports in the media are anything to go by.
According to The Telegraph, the Red Devils are expected to secure the signing of 19-year-old Porto fullback Diogo Dalot after activating the €20million release clause in his contract.
The British source have mentioned that an announcement is due within the next few days as Portuguese boss Mourinho looks to reinforce his squad for the next campaign.
Dalot is a speedy wing-back, who can effectively play on either side of the defense. Last season, he scored 4 goals and provided 5 assists in 25 appearances for Porto’s youth team and deservedly earned his place in the first team.
Overall, he made 8 appearances for the first team, six in the Primeira Liga, and provided three assists. He made his Champions League debut against Liverpool at Anfield in a contest that ended 0-0 on the night.
As per The Telegraph, United have already agreed personal terms with the teenage defender, who has so far made 4 appearances for the Portugal U-21 team.
