£53m star conducted an introductory interview with Liverpool

Liverpool have been closing on hiring the services of Nabil Fekir from Lyon but suddenly reports suggest that the transfer is in doubt.

According to The Guardian, the Reds not only agreed a fee worth £53m with the French club, they also completed the player’s medical, agreed personal terms of a contract and conducted an introductory interview with him for LFCTV as well.

However, it has been reported (The Guardian) that the 24-year-old star’s fitness concerns have delayed the announcement and the deal is in doubt now.

If the move does not go through then the Liverpool supporters shall be bitterly disappointed but it might be good for the club in the long run in case Fekir’s fitness concerns are for serious nature and could trouble him in the future.

Liverpool need a replacement for Coutinho and if they decide against signing the French attacker then a quality alternative must be lured as soon as possible.

The Les Bleus star, who is going to the World Cup with France, featured in 40 games in all competitions for the Ligue 1 club last season and directly contributed in 31 goals.
