Arsenal already have top quality playmakers like Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in their attacking department but they do need to add more depth.
In such a scenario, new boss Unai Emery must splash the cash to hire the services of a top attacker. According to reports going on in the media, the north Londoners are linked with Argentine international and Boca Juniors star Cristian Pavon.
As per a report covered by AS (press image provided at the end of the article) yesterday, top European clubs are looking to sign the La Albiceleste player but Arsenal are most interested in securing his signature.
The Spanish source have mentioned that Arsenal moved in with an offer of €30m to capture the signing of Pavon but the Argentine club, who are doing good financially, opted not to sell. It is further mentioned that after the World Cup, more offers will surely arrive for the 22-year-old star.
Argentina were knocked out of the World Cup by France yesterday. Pavon, who can effectively play as a winger and also as a forward, featured in all four games under Sampoli but failed to score a goal or provide an assist in the competition.
For Boca Juniors, Pavon played 32 games in the last campaign and directly contributed in no fewer than 26 goals (7 goals and 19 assist).
