Tottenham are looking to reinforce their midfield department in the summer transfer window and more than a few quality stars are linked.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, Mauricio Pochettino is looking to replace Belgian international Mousa Dembele and the Argentine boss has asked Spurs to secure the signing of Steven N’Zonzi from Spanish side Sevilla.
The renowned Italian source have mentioned that Daniel Levy is looking to get around 30 million euros for Dembele and N’Zonzi could cost around 40 million euros (£35.4million) which is the release clause in his current contract with the La Liga club.
Dembele played 39 games in all competitions for the north Londoners last season but failed to directly contribute in even a single goal. His current contract with the club will expire next year.
On the other hand, N’Zonzi took part in 44 games for Sevilla in the last campaign, scored 1 goal and provided 2 assists.
The 29-year-old French international can play in multiple midfield positions but naturally, he is a defensive midfielder. He has got ample Premier League experience under his belt having featured in 195 games from 2009 to 2015 (Blackburn and Stoke City).
In your opinion, is N’Zonzi good enough to replace Dembele?
