Manchester United are interested in strengthening their central defense and more than a few quality stars have been linked with the Red Devils.

As per the latest reports going on in the media, the Old Trafford club are linked with Italian international and AC Milan center half Alessio Romagnoli.

Furthermore, the Italian source have mentioned that the Red Devils then made a €50million move for Romagnoli (€45million cash + €5million in add-ons) but even the Rossoneri rejected the bid.

In the last campaign, the 23-year-old defender featured in 28 league games for the seven time European Champions, scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist.

Romagnoli made his senior international debut back in 2016 and so far, he has made 7 appearances for the Azzurri.

As per Corriere Dello Sport, United are not giving up on signing the Italian so it will not be surprising if they come up with an improved offer. Last month, renowned Italian outlet Calcio Mercato exclusively revealed that Milan want €60million for their prized asset, therefore, United could agree his signing if they meet the Serie A side’s asking price.
