The Italian source have mentioned that the capture of the defender has been requested by Sarri, who is expected to be Chelsea’s new manager.

The Old Lady star has won the Italian league title on three occasions. In the last season, he made 22 Serie A appearances for the Italian giants and directly contributed in 4 goals.

Rugani made his debut for the senior national side two years back and so far, he has featured in seven games for the Azzurri.

Chelsea signed Rudiger last year and after his arrival, David Luiz mainly warmed the bench under the management of Conte. It will be intriguing to see who will line up in the back line under Sarri.
