Liverpool boss willing to make almost irrevocable proposal to sign €137,000-a-week star

Liverpool desperately need to sign a new goal keeper this summer and more than a few quality players are linked with the Anfield club as per rumors going on in the media.

Few days back, renowned Sky Sports journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio, claimed that Chelsea shot stopper Courtois could be on his way out of the Stamford Bridge and Liverpool are interested in hiring his services.

Now, as per the latest update provided by Don Balon, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is willing to do anything to sign the Belgian international, who is also wanted by Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The Spanish source have mentioned that Klopp wants to make an almost irrevocable proposal to sign the 26-year-old star. However, it is mentioned that the former Atletico player has a great desire of returning to Madrid to be close to his children.

During his time in Spain, Courtois won the Spanish league title in the 2013-14 season. With Chelsea, he has won two Premier League trophies, however, in the last campaign, he was not very consistent.

In 35 league outings, Courtois kept 15 clean sheets as the Blues finished outside the top four and failed to qualify for the next season’s Champions League.

His current contract with Chelsea will expire next year and at the moment, he earns around €137,000-a-week as per The Daily Star. Courtois is arguably one of the best goalies in the world and he has the quality to solve Liverpool’s goalkeeping conundrum once and for all.

One comment

  1. Spending huge on goalkeeper or center defender makes more sense than on an attacker for Liverpool. If Fekir deal is close than it not smart to spend 100 millions on Lemar. 70 to 80 millions on a great goalkeeper is more important.
