Done – Manchester United have agreed £45.5million deal

Earlier this month, Manchester United agreed a fee with Shakhtar Donetsk to hire the services of Samba star Fred.

Yesterday, the Red Devils finally completed the signing of the Brazilian midfielder after agreeing personal terms with him as well.

The Old Trafford club officially confirmed on their website that the player has signed a five year contract. According to reports (The Star) Manchester United have agreed a five year deal that is worth £45.5million (£175,000-a-week)

In the last campaign, the versatile midfielder featured in 37 games for the Ukrainian club, scored 4 goals and provided 7 assists.

He made his senior internarional debut back in 2014 and so far, he has made 8 appearnces for the Selecao.

The South American midfielder is in the WC squad with Brazil, who will play their second group game of the competition today. The five time World Champions could only get one point in the opening contest vs Switzerland.

Renowned for his passing and set piece ability, Fred can effectively play as a deep lying playmaker, as a creative central midfielder and also as an attacking midfielder.

At Old Trafford, Mourinho will likely parnter him with the likes of Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba in ther center of the park next season.
