De Gea starts – Spain’s strongest possible 4-3-3 XI vs Iran

Spain could only earn a single point in their opening World Cup game against Portugal. The 2010 World Cup winners will collide against group leaders Iran tonight and will hope to get all three points.

Manchester United star David De Gea was average against the Seleccao and he will look to step up vs the Asians. We can expect the former Atletico Madrid star to retain his place in the starting XI.

As far as the back line is concerned, Pique and Ramos should start in the central defense. Real Madrid star Carvajal is available and he could replace Nacho in the right back position. Alba should start in the left back position.

In the center of the park, Busquets should start as the defensive midfielder, Thiago could replace Koke and Iniesta should start as the most advanced midfielder.

The attack should be unchanged. Isco and Silva should start with lone center forward Diego Costa.
