Arsenal sold star playmaker Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United in the winter transfer window and new boss Unai Emery must avoid selling key players this summer.
Welsh international Aaron Ramsey is certainly one of the star players at the Emirates and his current contract is set to expire next year.
According to multiple reports in the British media, Arsenal are ready to agree a new deal with the 27-year-old midfielder and as per BBC, the north Londoners have offered a fresh five year contract to the player.
The Gunners finished 5th in the Barclays Premier League in the last campaign and therefore failed to book a place in the next season’s Champions League.
Last season, the former Cardiff City midfielder featured in 24 league games for Arsenal, scored 7 goals and provided 10 assists. Overall, he made 32 appearances in all competitions and directly contributed in 23 goals.
Capable of playing in multiple positions, Ramsey is arguably the best midfielder that Arsenal have got in their squad and they must do everything to keep him. In case he departs then Emery must sign a top quality player to replace him in the center of the park.
According to The Mail, Arsenal will sell the midfielder if he does not extend his contract with the club. Moreover, London Evening Standard claim that they will look to get around £40m-£50m from his sale.
