Confirmed by rep – Liverpool called for €68.6million play breaker

Liverpool are constantly linked with numerous quality players and it will be interesting to see who will join Jurgen Klopp’s squad in the summer transfer window.

As per recent reports going on in the media, the Merseysiders are linked with a top play breaker in the form of Italian international and Napoli star Jorginho.

The Brazilian born midfielder’s representative has recently confirmed while talking to Radio CRC that few English clubs including Liverpool have called him to ask about Jorginho. His agent said: (quotes from corrieredellosport.it)

“I’m in Brazil, nobody called me from Naples, but they called me from the English teams, Liverpool, Manchester City, but also Arsenal and Chelsea.”

The 26-year-old Azzurri star has been fantastic for Napoli, who secured second spot in the Serie A this season. So far, in 32 league outings, Jorginho netted 2 goals and provided 4 assists.

As per the provided Corriere Dello Sport link, his agent further stated that it is not difficult to find agreements with the above mentioned PL clubs but Jorginho’s future depends on Napoli, who have him under contract until 2020.

Few days ago, we covered a report claiming that the Reds badly need a strong defensive midfielder who could form a solid cover in front of the back four. According to Metro, the Italian holding midfield star is rated at 60 million pounds (€68.6million). Should Klopp make a move to sign him?
