Principle agreement reached – How Liverpool could line up with €40million midfielder

Liverpool have been linked with Spanish international and Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos for quite some time and the recent reports have been positive for the Merseysiders.

Last week, renowned Italian source CalcioMercato claimed that the Reds have intensified contacts with the Spanish player’s agent and reached a four year principle agreement.

The Italian outlet mentioned that other clubs have been interested in hiring the services of the former Real Betis midfielder as well but Jurgen Klopp has convinced the player to join. CalcioMercato further stated that the Los Blancos are demanding a fee worth €40million for the 21-year-old Spaniard.

As far as Liverpool’s midfield is concerned, Klopp mainly used Coutinho in the central midfield this season before selling him in the winter transfer window. Moreover, we can expect Emre Can to leave Anfield in the summer after running down his current contract.

In such a scenario, the Merseysiders should strengthen their midfield department and someone as talented as Ceballos will be a quality addition. He is a versatile talent, who can effectively play anywhere in the midfield and also in the attack if needed.

Milner is hard working but he is past his best and at the age of 32, he should not really be starting every game next season. On the other hand Henderson is average at best and highly inconsistent. He should be replaced by Naby Keita when the Guinean arrives in the summer.

If Ceballos does end up moving to Liverpool, he could start with the likes of Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the midfield next season. Here is how Liverpool could line up with the highly rated youngster.

  1. Ye i hope our salah is still there in that team and not poched by madrid we are showing no ambistion if we keep selling our star players enough is enough its bout time that players honour the contracts or wots the point in signing for us yours contracts are supposed to mean somthink if they dont then why wastes the paper its writen on about time we dig heels in and make players stay put or rot in the reserves

    1. It’s up to LFC to keep them. We can force a player to stay if he’s not happy or winning silverwares. We have a good leverage now with other top clubs and we should use this opportunity. Get Dybala, Cebalos, De vrij, Jorginho and Allison or Oblak and we’ll win almost everything if not everything next season. Adding those guys to who we already have will be devastating.

    2. We need to sell Henderson, Lallana, Klavan, Lovren and Moreno to raise some money. Lovren seems to be improving but he could be a disaster any moment. Lallana is good enough but too much injury does LFC no good. Hendo is too average, average to even be our skipper. Van Dyke deserves that.

  2. Clyne will not be RB that position swill be taken by Trent Alexander Arnold. Clyne is really a CB and got found out at West Brom.

    1. Henderson out the team was the reason we lost the 13-14 Prem. Not because of a slip. He keeps us ticking over similar to Busquets at Barca. We need a guy like him if we are to win the Prem.

  3. I think we can safely assume that Klopp is expecting to bring in quite a few new faces that will strengthen both the team and squad and bring us more world class players But I would like to see an out to out Striker Brought in this summer someone like Werner but I know how Difficult it is to deal with his club as we found out with Keita

  4. Salah has been told has long as he can win the champions league for liverpool he is free to go but real Madrid with have to pay 175 million so that just proves Liverpool are a selling club for the second time this season when will the yanks stop selling their best players

  5. People need stop thinking Keita is a defensive midfielder. He is not. Watch him play. He does not play in the DM position
