EPL Player Ratings [Arsenal]: Arsenal vs West Bromwich Albion

Arsenal continued their winning streak at the Emirates Stadium as they brushed aside West Bromwich Albion by a 2-0 scoreline on Monday night. Jay Rodriguez was a menace to the Gunners’ backline in the first period, but they manage to overcome the hurdle to secure a much-needed win. Alexandre Lacazette bagged a goal in either half for the north London giants.

Here are our playing ratings for the game…………

Petr Cech: The 35-year-old had a relatively good game for the Gunners, and he made a crucial first-half save to prevent the Baggies from taking the lead – 7/10

Hector Bellerin: The right wing-back was a constant threat on the right side of the opposition half, but he could not find the final ball for his teammates in the box – 7/10

Laurent Koscielny: The skipper took up a position on the right side of the central defence, and provide a commanding presence, keeping out the likes of Robson-Kanu and Salomon Rondon – 7/10

Shkodran Mustafi: The German has his negative moments in the first period as he nearly conceded a penalty, not the best of games in the Gunners shirt – 6.5/10

Nacho Monreal: The Baggies would have gone 1-1 into the half-time if it was not for Monreal’s goal-line clearance. Definitely, the man of the match with his precise tackling – 8.5/10

Sead Kolasinac: Kolasinac throttled forward from the left side of the defence as usual, but could not quite find through ball for Lacazette up front, still a strong performance – 7.5/10

Granit Xhaka: Xhaka played in his regular self, mistimed a couple of passes, but made up with a strong performance in the second period alongside Mohamed Elneny – 6.5/10

Mohamed Elneny: Commanded the midfield from start to the finish. The Egyptian drove forward to help out the likes of Alexis Sanchez, while also keeping a firm defensive base when required – 8/10

Aaron Ramsey: The Welshman was a constant presence in the Baggies box. Could not get himself a goal but earned the crucial penalty for Lacazette’s second goal on the night – 7.5/10

Alexis Sanchez: Missed a couple of set-piece opportunities, but was a menace on the left side of the attack, combining well with Kolasinac and Elneny – 7/10

Alexandre Lacazette; Showed excellent positional sense to score off a rebound from Sanchez’s free-kick. The Frenchman scored his second with a neat and tidy finish from the penalty box – 8/10
